Overseas Mission
Two Knock families are members of Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Michael and Miranda Jemphrey, Shona and Stephanie, having spent many years in Mali, west Africa, are now back in the UK. Michael is a translation consultant with Wycliffe and is liaising with translation teams in Francophone Africa. He is also completing a PhD through Oxford University. Miranda is the Personnel Co-ordinator in the Wycliffe N.I. Office. Shona, having graduated from the University of York, is now seeking to gain experience in theatre production. Stephanie has started a four year degree course at the University of Ulster (College of Art).
Kenny and Andrea Woodrow, Josh and Kendra are now in Dar es Salaam, Kenny as a Multimedia specialist and Andrea as Assistant Director for Member Care UTB. Kendra attends Haven of Hope Academy while Josh attends school in N Ireland.
Under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland (Board of Mission Overseas) Una Brownlie is working in the David Gordon Memorial Hospital, Livingstonia, Malawi as a nurse/midwife as well as promoting immunization and public health initiatives to combat AIDS and malnutrition.
